SMOKY TAHINI
VEGAN SAUCE
INGREDIENTS :

6 tablespoons tahini (1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons)

10 teaspoons tomato paste (3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon)
​

2 teaspoons maple syrup
​

3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
​

3/4 teaspoon Danwood Smoky Powder®
​
-
3 teaspoons Danwood Smoky Vinegar®
​
-
3 teaspoons molasses
​
-
1/4 teaspoon Danwood Liquid Smoke®
​
-
sea salt , to taste
​
-
1/8 teaspoon chili powder , optional for a small kick
​

1/2 cup water (can use more or less depending on preferred consistency)

INSTRUCTIONS :

Place ingredients into a high speed blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
​

You can also just use a whisk or fork to mix well if you have a good quality smooth tahini.
​

Adding more water will make it more of a drizzle or dressing, less water makes it more of a dip.
​

Chilli powder optional for extra spice.

Recipe makes about 1 cup, serving size is 2 tablespoons.
